Staffing company in Quincy looking to fill the following permanent position with one of our clients in Boston.

FINANCIAL ANALYST

This position will include budget preparation and monitoring, budget analysis and projection, maintenance of the headcount budget and monitoring, variance analysis and managing the production of Month End reports. In addition to budgeting, this position will work closely with General Accounting during month end close and perform other special projects / financial analyses / duties as assigned.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Compile Budgets & Forecasts.
*Interact with Departmental Managers in relation to the budget
*Prepare departmental profit & loss accounts and variance schedules on a monthly basis.
*Investigate variances between budgeted and actual results.
*Prepare quarter end and year-end analyses.
*Prepare reporting elements to parent companies as required.
*Monitor trends in expenses and revenues and prepare trend analyses and schedules as required.

QUALIFICATIONS/CORE COMPETENCIES:
*Bachelors Degree or equivalent training and experience in Finance, MBA/CPA preferred.
*5 -10 years experience in financial analysis, budget preparation & monitoring and general ledger accounting.
*Demonstrates a high degree of initiative, intuition and added value to identify problems and steps to resolve them.
*Must be able to communicate successfully with a variety of disciplines and levels, both internal and external staff.
*Must be highly organized and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
